In 2016 I joined the team at BDA Creative, where I worked close together with Jim Greenslade, Magnus Schlüter and Meritxell Monso. Under the creative direction of Tim Finnamore we created the design of all the Sportschau elements.
I was in charge of the logo animation in the on air elements (e.g. wipes, lower thirds & advertisement breaks). The generic opener was done by Jim Greenslade, while my part was to transfer his style to wipes, advertisement breaks and later to the studio elements.
Here are a few previews, where you can see our progress.
While the team was busy with the infographic elements, my next steps where creating the studio elements.
Especially the almost 30 m long background image and the logo loops that are running on the tv screens.
After all of that I started helping out on the infographic elements. The hardest part was to find layouts for all the different element proportions, while keeping the most important visual clues in the same place.
After a short break I got called into the team again, to help with the creation of this opener for the Olympic Games.
